Jennifer holds a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from the University of Western Ontario. She then went on the graduate from the West Coast College of Massage Therapy with an RMT diploma.

For the past 27 years she has worked in a variety of clinical, chiropractic and spa settings. Harbourview Therapeutic Massage Clinic in the Comox Valley has been her base for the past 17 years where she has built a strong and loyal clientele. Since having three children of her own she has realized the utmost importance of massage therapy for Pre and Post-natal women. As the Comox Valley has a large military base, in the past few years Jennifer has taken a keen interest in working with Veterans, both with massage related to rehabilitation for muscular injury, and for massage for those suffering from PTSD.

Eddie is a 2005 graduate of the 3000 hour program at the West Coast College of Massage Therapy in New Westminster, B.C. Eddie moved to Powell River to work at the Sunshine Coast Health Centre, Canada’s number one drug and alcohol recovery centre. As a RMT, he was able to help those suffering from PTSD (post-traumatic stress disorder); he also worked on a wide variety of issues such as: Patient education (most important) , Tendonitis, Constipation, Rotator cuff injuries and Low back pain.

Fran Hailstone

RMT

Fran recently moved to the Comox Valley and is excited to be a part of Harbourview Therapeutic Massage clinic. Her goal is to empower each client in their own healing capabilities, to facilitate healing with a holistic approach. She combines evidence based practices and energetic techniques for a whole body approach to support healing, relaxation, greater body awareness, and overall wellness. Further studies in MyoFascial work, Systemic Deep Tissue, Cranial Sacral Therapy and Reiki help to augment Frans treatments.

Fran brings a background of fine arts, love of leading an active life, and experience as a mother to her massage therapy practice, this has helped her to hone creativity, foster greater compassion, respect and humility for how different we are in our bodies and unique in our healing processes. She graduated in 2004 from West Coast College for Massage Therapy and in that time has had the honor to support many different physical conditions; from sports injuries, palliative support, anxiety, depression and perinatal support, in both clinical and spa settings. These experiences have been a witness to Fran about the holistic nature of massage therapy and the healing power of touch.

Outside of work Fran can be found hiking and playing in the outdoors with her dog “Buddy” and her family.
